そろそろ表彰台を狙ってます！　[自転車のこと] [編集]

５月１８日（土）は、人力バイク部では恒例行事となった鈴鹿耐久レースに参加してきました（＾＾）（＾＾）（＾＾）（＾＾）（＾＾）

今回、参加するのは今までで一番長時間となる男女混合の６時間耐久クラス。

参加車両は、ロードでも小径車でもママチャリでもなんでもＯＫで、女性が１人以上参加した５人で、６時間を走ります。

京都組は、朝の３時半に京都をスタートして、５時に鈴鹿ＩＣでアマさん、いぬのきもちさんと合流。

鈴鹿サーキットに着くと、さっそくダンロップコーナーのあたりに陣取って、いつものピクニック状態です（＾＾）

では、ここで今回の参加部員をご紹介いたします。

いつもは、ゆるゆるで順位を気にしたことのない人力バイク部ですが、
今回はＧＵＳＯＫＵくんが入部してくれたおかげで、なんとなく上位クラスにくい込んでいますぞ！

６時間の長丁場でしたが、barbieさんが作ってくれたケーキを食べながら、みんなで頑張れました。

鈴鹿耐久の面白さは、Ｆ１と同じサーキットを人力で走れること、
そしてなんといっても、友達同士でひとつのチームを作って、力を合わせてゴールを目指すところですね。

６時間走り切った後の記念撮影を見ると、まだまだエネルギーが余ってましたな（＾＾）

ところで、我々人力バイク部の成績ですが、エントリーシートに『そろそろ表彰台を狙ってます！』って書いたからか…

Dollar expected to lose more ground against cash and real-time options than it did from traditional funds.

While U.S. stocks have lost more than $16 billion since June 30, equities that track options, known as advanced money managers, or AUMs, have gained more than $3 billion.

The rally is fueled by several trends that favor both traditional and AUMs, said Jim Hohman, a vice president with the International Investment Advisory Co., which tracks financials.

Many countries are seeing higher inflows and outflows that make them even more attractive than the U.S., he said. Investors are shifting to more diversified asset classes, including commodities, cash and emerging-market equities.

Investors' appetite for both traditional investing strategies and AUMs is likely driven in part by their expected faster U.S. economic recovery and stronger fundamentals, which include better than expected economic growth and lower rates of unemployment.

The index's gains for the 12-month period to July totaled $4.36 billion, up from $4.25 billion the previous month, according to numbers from UBS AG and the Institute of International Finance.

The S&P500 index hit a record high of 16,824.40 and the Dow Jones industrial average hit a new all-time intraday record high of 23,049.44.

Investors have been putting their money into currencies such as the U.S. dollar, Germany's Deutsche Mark and Swiss franc, a key driver of the U.S. S&P 500 index's gains this year.

AUMs have been selling the U.S. dollar to try to gain more exposure to emerging markets, such as Brazil and India, and to hedge against possible losses in countries such as China.

Meanwhile, AUMs are betting that a strong U.S. economic recovery could spur a large increase in cash and other emerging-market holdings that have grown in volume, with investors increasingly looking to liquidate them when interest rates rise.

With interest rates at record lows, more cash is available on the exchanges where it can be stashed, and people are more willing to hold them.

On the other side of the globe, where most of the bull market occurred, the dollar is undervalued. The dollar has more than doubled since mid-2013. U.S. growth accelerated earlier this year in part because of stronger U.S. economic data.

North east link property acquisitions to get priority to build North-south link

This weekend Prime Minister David Cameron announced a coalition government would continue the North-South Link in time for the Olympics, but would limit its funding to Â£4bn a year over 20 years.

The deal was struck after years of delay as the DUP threatened to block it while the Lib Dems pushed for a Â£20bn upgrade to the Northern Powerhouse.

The UK Government has decided the North-South link will have to wait until 2025 after an appeal against the decision by the Northern Powerhouse committee, which considered and rejected a range of options for the controversial project.

Mr Cameron has indicated he will not be keen on any further delays, saying: "I don't think any other government will be taking the line on it at this stage, although there might be some other politics, but that will be decided between now and next Friday.

"But, of course, we are working on the plan and working through the decision-making at the time that the review will be completed.

"But I think that if we can have a review in the coming six months we would like to see what alternative approach will be taken and the review that could be pursued and whether that is the right approach."

In a statement, Mr Cameron said the review would give government decision-makers time to examine the full range of alternatives available, including those deemed cost-effective.

He said: "This is one of the great unfinished business of Brexit negotiations and we will do everything we can to ensure it is addressed in a way that keeps the benefits of our relationship with the EU as open for the taking.

"I also want to pay tribute to the outstanding, hard-working staff of both Government departments to ensure that they receive a fair go and are given opportunities to demonstrate their skills.

"There is much work to be done but if Theresa May cannot put the right plan into action in time for the Olympic Games, then I believe that no other government would be taking the line on this issue.

"In my view, any delay at all would give the Conservatives a political opportunity of putting the brakes on the north-south deal in the next few months.

"There are a number of options on the table and I will sit down to discuss them with the right people on Monday when the review is completed."

Tory MSP Pat McFadden said: "This is a prime example of how the Government wants the debate on Brexit to play out.

After spending time in the hospital, Dennis returned home to his mom at their home, and the couple shared a life of happiness and family.

Then the day arrived when Dennis knew it would take some time to return to school.

His father, Mark, was back at work on a job that required him to watch over Brandon, and Brandon was on the couch, watching TV. Dennis's best friend, Taylor, had also moved away.

Dennis's mom, Tricia, was still working, and he wanted to focus on school, so that was part of the problem. Dennis felt guilty and didn't know how to deal with it.
